INDIAN SUMMER IN NEW MEXICO
Larry and I had the opportunity to take a quick road trip to Taos New Mexico to hang out with our good friend Jeff Walker. With Larry as my driver, I could take in the legendary and historic scenary of the desert Southwest. Churches are wonderful subject matter for photos and following are adobe churches in San Luis, Colorado (the oldest town in Colorado) and Costillo, New Mexico.
Here is El Corazon de Jesus (or Sacred Heart) Church in Costillo, New Mexico…
The small town of Garcia, New Mexico and Garcia, Colorado straddles the border between the two states. With a distinct southwest air, here is one of the views in this almost deserted town.
Adobe door…
Adobe doors & windows…
What an amazingly small world we live in… Our friend & fellow photographer, Jeff Walker took us to Jack Leustig Imaging, a small gallery/high end giclee print shop in Arroyo Seco, NM www.jliprints.com Incredibly, I spotted a fabulous print of Aspen trees taken on Independence Pass in our very own Aspen, Colorado taken by LauraLee Leonard lauraleeleonard.com who was one of my soccer kids when I coached back in the early 90’s in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. LauraLee now lives in Hawaii and has created her own art photography business.
Here is the link to her inspiring website and the aforementioned Aspen tree image:
